2. La Maree de Chaya
Look first for Harry’s Bar on the first floor. From the wooden deck facing the ocean, grab a cocktail, enjoy some conversation with friends and let the ocean breezes put you at ease. At the second-floor restaurant, you can enjoy French-style seafood dishes heaped with local Misaki vegetables and fresh fish. For a taste of some of the Zushi area’s finest, defintely seek out this chic place sitting right on the beach.
3. Beach Muffin
This dynamic little establishment is embraced by locals and features all you need for a good summer’s day: a bakery, vegan cafe, craft beer taproom, event space and gallery. Most of the food served here uses ingredients that are organic and/or cultivated naturally using sustainable, pesticide-free practices. The vegan selection is some of the most robust in the region. On weekends, Yorocco Beer, the local craft brewery in Zushi, serves up some of its finest in the make-shift taproom.
4. Happy Go Lucky
The popular beach house on Zushi’s coastline is opening its shutters again this year. While food and drink is fairly standard fare at pop-up beach houses, Happy Go Lucky allows guests to enjoy a litttle more, including activities like BBQing and yoga. This takes rest and relaxation to a whole new level. For more information, check out the ad on page 15.
